About GVF satellite communications training

The Global VSAT Forum provides a solid, fundamentals-based training program for VSAT, broadband, and maritime satellite terminal technicians, engineers, users, and operators. The program is endorsed and recommended by the major satellite operators. GVF delivers a highly-effective blend of simulator-driven, interactive, self-paced online knowledge training, verification of hands-on skills, and optional supplementary classes.

GVF offers several certification training paths:

• For fixed VSAT professionals:  GVF Basic, Advanced, and Specialist Satcom Professional certifications.
• For marine VSAT professionals: GVF Marine Satcom Professional certifications.
• For marine VSAT operators (crew): GVF Marine Satcom Operator certifications.

Installer database

Students who complete the requirements for GVF Advanced and Specialist Satcom Professional certifications may be listed in the public database at gvf.org, an excellent resource for service providers seeking qualified field technicians.
