  • Satellite Operators Minimum Antenna Performance (SOMAP) - (UPDATED 13 June 2017)

    SOMAP (Download)
This document explains the SOMAP goals and objectives and the need for Comms-On-The-Move antenna system performance data. It provides the list of mandatory data required as of September 1st, 2018. Further, the reader may find guidance on the interpretation of the data in the SOMAP Matrix. Click here to Email the SOMAP Group.

    SOMAP Matrix (Download C-Band / Ku-Band / Ka-Band )
This document lists the requirements of the satellite operators in the SOMAP group for antenna models and systems newly introduced to the market as of September 1st, 2018. The matrix is specified for C-Band, Ku-Band and Ka-Band. It is based on a “Highly Recommended” Agreement, however, the participating satellite operators are determined to apply the content in the regular antenna approval process.

    SOMAP Antenna Datasheet Contents (Download)
The data in this document can be a reference for manufacturers of Satellite Communication antennas and antenna systems. The content displays the suggested antenna performance data which would be of valuable assistance for satellite operators to find on product datasheets.
